Graham McLeod

Graham McLeod, a native of London, Ontario, logged more than 20,000 flying hours during a forty-year career. Ten years in the RCAF were followed by thirty with Air Canada, the last eight piloting Boeing 747s on the company’s international routes. The knowledge and experience gleaned from having ‘been there, done that’ is evident throughout the plots of both his mystery novels featuring his protagonist, PI Don Carling. SHADOWS ON THE FLAG, is also available in print and e-book format, both books were initially published using his pen name, ‘Russ Graham’.

Writing with Purpose and Precision

In a world of fleeting trends and predictable storytelling, Graham McLeod stands out as an author driven by meaning, depth, and uncompromising authenticity. His novels go beyond entertainment—they are bold examinations of the human condition, written with both emotional intelligence and a keen awareness of the world we live in.

With powerful works such as Deadly Diversions, a gripping thriller that reveals the hidden machinery behind political manipulation, and Shadow on the Flag, a thought-provoking exploration of loyalty, national identity, and uncomfortable truths, McLeod demonstrates remarkable command over both narrative suspense and social relevance.

Stories Rooted in Reality

What sets McLeod’s writing apart is his instinct for truth. His stories are not merely imagined—they are informed by immersive experiences and a genuine understanding of geopolitical environments.

Deadly Diversions draws readers into a complex world of conspiracy and corruption, grounded in the political tensions of the UK and Europe.

Shadow on the Flag transports them to the harsh realities of the U.S.–Mexico border, challenging assumptions about patriotism, justice, and power. His ability to merge high-stakes storytelling with meaningful commentary elevates his work beyond genre fiction. Readers walk away entertained—but also changed.

A Commitment to Impactful Storytelling

As his literary journey continues, Graham McLeod remains uncompromising in his dedication to stories that matter. He writes not simply to thrill, but to provoke thought, spark conversation, and shed light on the truths that often go unnoticed. To McLeod, fiction is more than escape—it is a powerful lens through which society can better understand itself. With every book, he reinforces his belief that storytelling rooted in purpose and human complexity is not only compelling; it endures.
